Frequently Asked Questions
Why play Zero Gravity?
Zero Gravity allows for its players to grow at their own pace, pushing them to learn other positions and strategies. Playing at the highest level of ultimate will provide experience that is hard to receive from anywhere else. With the focus on player development, members will be faced with achieving both personal and team goals.
How much does it cost?
The cost to play for ZG is pretty reasonable compared to other club teams. Team dues will be between $150-175 which go towards jerseys, tournaments bids, and field rentals. Housing and gas will not be included with these dues and are expected to be financed further by each individual player when we travel.
What kind of commitment are we looking for?
You are expected to make bi-weekly practices and schedule around tournaments throughout the summer.
Who are we looking for?
This year we are looking for individuals who are more than willing to work their hardest to become a better player. This doesn't mean you have to be the best athlete, have the best throws, or know the game frontwards and backwards. Point is, this team is here for players to better themselves at a sport we love and that is who we are looking for.
How long is the summer club season?
In 2015, the regular season starts June 6th and ends August 23rd. The Postseason runs August 29th-October 4th
How many tournaments do we attend?
We are planning on attending 2-3 regular season tournaments and then competing at the Texas Sectionals tournament in late August with our hopes to advance to Regionals.
